School Meals
Lunch Arrangements
We have two lunch breaks at Christ the King, Year 7, 11 and Sixth Form go to lunch at 12.40pm-1.10pm and Years 8,9,10 at 1.40pm-2.10pm.
All students automatically have a Compass cashless catering account. As we are a cashless school the account will need to be topped up with funds via the Wallet on the Compass App. We do also accept card payments at the till.
The meal deal currently costs £3.30 (subject to change), this consists of a hot or cold meal deal, often including a main course, a dessert or a drink.
Free School Meals
Targeted Free School Meals
Children from households in receipt of Universal Credit with annual household earnings of £7,400 or less (the existing threshold for FSM prior to the expansion), will be eligible for Targeted Free School Meals. In addition to receiving free meals, pupils eligible for Targeted Free School Meals will attract pupil premium and other disadvantage funding for their schools. You will also be able to apply for free home to school transport, as long as the statutory criteria stated in the Home to School Transport Policy is met.
Households qualifying for free meals because they are in receipt of support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 will also be eligible for Targeted Free School Meals .
Households in receipt of Income-related Employment and Support Allowance or the guarantee element of Pension Credit or households with families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) may also be eligible for Targeted Free School Meals.

Help your primary school get additional funding
You do not have to complete an application form to receive free school meals in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. If you receive any of the benefits listed as criteria for 'Targeted Free School Meals' you can help your school access additional money provided by central government. All you need to do is apply for free school meals.
